The Art Around the World Project with our kindergarten kids this year has been an exciting journey!
From week to week, we have learnt about many different countries of the world. Looking for them on the inflatable globe, experimenting with techniques and artistic themes in a playful and creative way.
It has given the children the curiosity of getting to know that the world is huge and there are many cultures, with histories, environments and typical animals that are different from ours. People around the world speak different languages and sometimes they eat and dress differently. We have added some of the work done in primary school as well, crossing with Geography and History topics.
Starting from Central America, its ancient people up to their favourite food with colourful clay tacos. We found out about Scotland, Ireland, and England. The difference between North Pole and South Pole. We travelled through Arabia and discovered Middle Eastern Art. We have explored different continents from Asia to Oceania and Africa.
Lots of symbolism and stories, patterns, pictures, animals, songs, and traditional dances.
